“In My Eastern Dreams, My Muse” is an ongoing project in which I merge traditional Chinese ink painting with contemporary expressions of body, desire, and identity. Through fluid brushwork, intentional blank spaces, and washes of ink, I seek to evoke an intimate, dreamlike emotional landscape. The muse in my work is both the object of desire and a projection of myself—drifting between tradition and modernity, the East and the West. By revisiting the disciplined and often objectified image of the Eastern female body, I attempt to reconstruct a sensual, untamed, and rebellious dream world of my own.
